OK, Blog number 1 de Mexico. In Oaxaca. It's beautiful, hot, and no one speaks my language. This is going to be great. I survived 24 hours in Mexico City, but my lungs and eyes suffered. The smog there is ridiculous. Anyway, one 6 hour bus riode later, here I am. I am staying in a sweet little guesthouse with 7 other young folks. Some are med students. My bathroom window opens onto the landing of the outdoor staircase, it's funny. Better keep that closed. No diarrhea yet (knock on wood). OK, time to take a siesta and explore the town.... More later. Maybe even pics, the computadoras have USB.

Ahh summer. I've had a great 3 weeks off, housesitting, trip-prepping, hanging with Christina (went to the 951), and seeing people I needed to see (Sylvia, Luis, Andy, HS buds, etc). 4th was fun, skated around the parade after a few white Russians, BBQed at Gary's after a few beers, watched fireworks on the beach with Christina and friends after a few rum and cokes. Got some pesos yesterday, almost all packed, antibiotics ready. Gotta lock all my possesions in my room, then dinner with Christina, then John Wayne tomorrow at 6:45, to Dallas, to Mexico!!

I am lazy so I never posted after finals... The last week was not so rough since none of the tests were SUPER important and since I was livin' it up at my brother's place while they're all on the East Coast. Friday of finals week was cool, we had toga day (we dress up at least twice a quarter, it's very high school), took a neuro final, had a little BBQ at my bro's, got waishted at Palo Verde while being called a SECOND YEAR...WOO-WOO!!
Lived it up Sat, took Christina down to camp in north Baja Sun and Mon (beautiful, cheap, easy, highly recommended, especially when the water gets warmer). We sat at a restaurant on a cliff above the Pacific with margaritas in hand and feet on the cliff. It was spectacular. Even smugggled some M80's back.
This week was chill too, got some travel advice from Jill (Need to start packing) and hit the ARC a few times.
Went to the dentist (crappy UCI insurance sent me to Western Dental) where I go the WORST treatment, WORST cleaning, WORST bedside manner, WORST wait, and WORST filling ever. Will pay the real dentist out-of-pocket next time if i have to...
Um, gotta go. More later.
